Glossier Austin Pop-Up!

How exciting is this! Glossier came to Austin!

As every other girl within the U.S. (and probably outside too), I love Glossier products. Their minimal aesthetic, promotion of natural beauty, and encouragement of woman empowerment has me bought in. I always thought about visiting the Glossier Flagship store on my next trip to New York, but Glossier beat me to it!

I remember looking on Instagram one day with the mention of Glossier popping up on South Congress (2000 South Congress to be correct) and couldn’t believe they would pick Austin of all places to have a pop up!

The first weekend they opened, I made sure to grab a glimpse into all the fun! To start, they had literally every single product on their website in the store. It was so awesome to see all the testers and trying the products out. I hesitate on buying things online if I’m not sure how they will actually be (especially beauty products, eek!), so now I know what I would actually enjoy and what I’m kind of meh about.

In conclusion, I gave in to purchasing Boy Brow (I’ve been hesitant to purchase for months since I was unsure of my shade. Found out it’s blonde, not brown!) and Skin Tint. Boy Brow has quickly become a staple into my regular makeup routine. I love how natural my eyebrows still look but they still get enough oomph to make them seem filled in. I’m still warming up to Skin Tint slowly but surely. I love the idea of natural skin, but I still have imperfections (redness and break outs here and there). Maybe using the Glossier concealer would help, but I find that Skin Tint smears my concealer around so it doesn’t provide the coverage I would like. It’s great when my skin decides to behave every now and then though!

Thanks for your residency in Austin, Glossier!

xx, Rachelle
