ACL 2019

Festival season has arrived! Although Texas has experienced some crazy weather changes (seriously, 40 degrees in October?!), Austin is ready for some live music at Zilker Park.

I’ve had so many good memories in the past at ACL and it’s been awhile so I went ahead and got 3-day wristbands. Just thinking reliving all 3 days is a lot, I’m definitely not a bright-eyed student anymore!

The first day, Friday, was super exciting since I wanted to take the entire festival site in and see Guns N Roses. I have seen Slash and Axl Rose separately in the past, when I was going through my classic/hard rock phase, but they finally reunited again and I was excited to see them perform together!

The next day was by far my favorite because I was wearing my favorite festival outfit to date! Taking in some of the recent Cowboy fashion vibes plus my new Cowboy hat from Allen’s Boots and sprinkling in a little Free People, I was ready.

Oh yea, and I also got to see Billie Eilish which was cool!

Of course we were starving by the end of the festival, so per tradition, we headed down to South Congress to eat at Home Slice! This time was really awesome though since we sat at the bar and actually watched them make the pizzas. I also discovered that you can make your pizzas there be half one topping/type of pizza and the other half something else! I always opt in for the Sausage/Ricotta cheese pizza, but I decided to do the Eggplant Parmesan for the other half. Boy I didn’t know what I was missing! The eggplant was roasted and oh so good. It quickly has become one of my favorite pizzas in the universe!

The last day was super exhausting because I was basically on E at this point. We made it in the late evening to quickly catch Kacey Musgraves and then the last half of the Astros game before going home! I also ran into some friends along the way 🙂

Until next year, ACL!
