Hey y’all! What a journey it has been these past few months… As states begin to start opening up, it’s hard to judge whether it’s time to start going out again or not. After Texas restaurants opened up for a couple weeks, I decided I was ready to test the waters. Here’s how my dinner went and where you can get my outfit! (and 20% off Kendra!)
I had a really hard time choosing where the right place to go would be and determining how many people would be out. Currently, restaurants are allowed to be at 50% capacity, which is fine as long as I’m at least 6 feet apart from others! Because of this, I chose to go to an early dinner on a week night to avoid any large crowds.
We chose to go to June’s All Day, which is a cute little restaurant on South Congress! It wasn’t a disappointing experience, as there were only two parties inside the restaurant and everyone wearing masks. The food was on-par, and it was so nice to drink a cocktail that wasn’t self-made! Their menu rotates, but we had the Fried Baby Eggplant to start (amazing) and I had the Grilled Chicken Paillard (also amazing!). In terms of drinks, I started with the Mezcal Cocktail (pictured below) which has a sweet yet smokey taste to it and then moved to June’s Punch. My boyfriend had the Vodka Cocktail the entire time, and it was refreshing and sweet. It might have actually been my favorite!
Lastly, I wanted to share my outfit, which I’ve been storing for a bit until I had a chance to wear it!
I found this Astr the Label dress on sale at Nordstrom for $39 and the quality and elegance of it makes it a steal! I do recommend sizing up, especially if you’re curvy. I’m usually a M/L in dresses and I’m wearing a L, which still is a little snug in some places.
Secondly, I loved wearing some new Kendra! The Rose Gold with Sand Druzy is quickly becoming my fave. I think it compliments my warm skin tone so well, but the other colors in this style are also incredibly beautiful!
