October is officially here! As my favorite month of the year, I love to spend it outdoors as much as I can. The weather is always so beautiful, and down here in Texas, you never know if you’re going to walk outside and it’ll feel like Summer and Fall. With that being said, it’s fun because I get to wear different pieces from my closet intended for both seasons!
I recently snagged this dress at Madewell for 85% off of original price! How? Honestly, pure luck. I was simply window shopping when it caught my eye. I figured it would have been at least over $50, but it came out to be only $19.99. I was also really excited when I saw it matched perfectly with my sunhat and sandals, so I figured I’d wear it for a stroll in the park.
I met up with one of my friends on a Sunday afternoon and we headed to Zilker Park, the most prominent park in Austin. A cool front had just blown in, so it was a perfect day. Once we got there, we were shocked with how many people also came to enjoy the outdoors. The biggest portion of Zilker was also closed off due to setting up for Austin City Limits Music Festival, so we had to relocate closer to the running trail and train tracks.
Because of this, I actually had the chance to explore a part of the park I hadn’t really spent time at before! On the running trail, you usually just run or walk on by without noticing everything that’s actually around you.
We noticed this great little spot by the train tracks that had an abundance of trees and a beautiful part of the river behind it. As we were both dressed pretty nicely, we decided to take a few photos which turned out to be pretty gorgeous, in my opinion!
Also, back to my outfit. So I saw this dress in Madewell‘s sale section, and I was surprised with how cheap and how well it fit! I love going to Madewell because they usually have great deals in their sale section, their clothes are great quality, and they also offer a stellar student discount (20% off anything that’s not final sale!). When I went to dinner later that night, I also changed from my sandals into a pair of suede Madwell heels that I got for $20 on sale as well, and they’re actually one of my favorite heels in my closet!
