4TH OF JULY!

I always love the Fourth of July! This year, unfortunately, it lied on a Wednesday, smack in the middle of the week. It was okay though because I got to pre-game for the holiday the weekend before! It was crazy this year anyways because it rained practically all day. Even for watching fireworks. I got on a Bird scooter (for the first time ever too!) and rode in the rain to go watch them.

Fortunately, the weekend before was gorgeous, sunny, and hot! My favorite! What I love about Austin, and even Texas in general, there are still plenty places to go where you can cool off and escape the sweltering heat.

The biggest staple to any of my summers is always going to one of the hottest (or coldest) spots in Austin: Barton Springs. It’s gotten super popular over the years but I always have a good time there. The water is freezing cold, but it’s super nice whenever it’s 90-100 degrees! I also got to wear my brand new Barbie swimsuit from the Missguided x Barbie Collection. There are some beyond cute pieces, so make sure to check it out!

Just as I mentioned in the intro of this post, the weather became really ugly on the actual Fourth of July. I still wanted to be as spirited as possible and wore the super cute Danielle red knit tank top from Brandy Melville, paired with a denim skirt from Urban Outfitters. And of course, I wore my staple shoes, my Keds (my MacBook kept wanting to autocorrect that to “kids” lol).
Before I headed out to watch fireworks downtown, I took a few shots in my outfit and headed over to Hyde Park Grill. It’s one of my fave places because it’s super chill and with such a huge variety of food it’s easy to either hop in or have dinner with the fam.
Check out my outfit below and posing with the Bird Scooter I rode downtown and on the Soco Bridge in the rain!
